Embrace self-determination – Why it’s time to put your wishes first again

Are you the most important person in your life?

When was the last time you consciously thought about yourself? About your real desires, about what is really important to you?

Or are you more familiar with this feeling: you function in everyday life, give a lot for others and lose what really defines you - your dreams, your inner strength and your path.

Why you often put yourself at the back of the queue

Many of my clients come to me with a similar story: they are strong, committed and always there for others. But if they are honest with themselves, they realise that their own needs have long since lost their spot.

Maybe that applies to you too?

  • You take care of your family, job and everyday life, but your wishes fall by the wayside.
  • You often make decisions from the outside - in line with expectations and ‘what you just do’.
  • You feel restless but don't know exactly what you're really missing.

The problem with this is that in the long run it costs you an enormous amount of energy. You feel tired, empty or driven instead of free and alive.

And it doesn't have to stay that way!

Back to yourself - the first step

The path to more self-determination always begins with a simple, powerful step: coming back to yourself.

It's not about changing everything immediately or radically transforming yourself. It's about reconnecting with yourself and feeling what you really want. What is calling for your attention. And what you can let go of to create more space for your dream life.

How do you find out what you really want?

Many people have forgotten to ask themselves this important question. Yet it is the linchpin for a fulfilled life: ‘The question of all questions: How do I want it to be?’

Here are three effective steps to reconnect with your true desires:

  1. Take space for yourself: consciously allow yourself quiet moments without distractions. Go out into nature, write in your diary or simply sit down with a cup of tea. Without a to-do list, just with yourself. And listen to what comes.
  2. Listen to the first answers: When you ask yourself ‘How do I want it to be?’, answers such as ‘less stress’ or ‘more time’ often come first. Go deeper: What does this mean for you in concrete terms? What do you want to feel and experience? What can make spot for something new in your life?
  3. Feel it in your body: Your answers must not only ‘sound good’, but also feel good. Observe where you feel lightness or joy when you think about your vision. This is how you find your authentic path.

This reflection often brings a whole new clarity - and this is exactly where my work with the morphic field comes in. We bring to light from the depths what has long been waiting to be lived within you.

Living a self-determined life does not mean being selfish. It means consciously taking your spot in life. It means making decisions based on your inner truth rather than out of a sense of duty or fear.

And this is exactly what I experience time and again with my clients: As soon as they take themselves seriously again and gain clarity about their priorities, their entire attitude to life changes. More inner peace, more focus and more joy in their own path.
